First Responder Initiative

The focus of our Community Nursing Initiative is on training and certification of nurses and community members in emergency medical response. The Community Nursing program trains and certifies community members and nurses on the Home Health Care program. Our community nursing program also trains nurses and community members to improve the health and well-being of women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.

Our goal is to train more than 200 nurses and 15 partner organizations by the end of 2023. When fully implemented, the program will reduce health complications and other health risks associated with medical emergencies, elderly care, and importantly reduce maternal and newborn mortality in rural communities and other health crises.

We also provide medical equipment and supplies for members of the community, the community, institutions, and schools.
