First Responder Initiative

Our First Responder and Community Nursing Initiatives provide First Aid training and Community Nursing or Home Health Assistant training certification programs. It also provides medical equipment and supplies for communities, institutions, and schools.

The focus is to train and certify nurses in CPR and medical emergency response. The certified nurses will help train community members. The Community Nursing program is to train and certify community members on Home Health assistant. The certified community nurses will work with Mercytree to provide care for the elderly, HIV/AIDS patients, dementia patients, etc.

The program will train 200 nurses and 15 partner organizations by the end of 2023. When fully implemented, the program will help reduce health complications and other health risks associated with the lack of CPR and Community Nursing personnel in rural communities. It will reduce health crises in emergencies.
