Corporate Gift Acceptance Policy

Effective as of January 2019

At the core of our work is a commitment to independence, neutrality, and impartiality. These principles make it possible for Mercytree International Foundation teams to provide medical services and training to those who urgently need them and remain safe while doing so.

Due to the potential conflict between receiving donations from certain corporations and the fulfillment of our humanitarian goals, we have established the following fundraising practices policy:

Policy

As a 501 (C)(3)  tax-exempt organization, Mercytree International Foundation is authorized to solicit and accept funds from corporations (including companies, multinational corporations, corporate foundations, small businesses, and other corporate entities) except those from excluded industries as outlined in this section.

Mercytree International Foundation will not accept contributions from companies and their respective corporate foundations as well as entities that lobby on their behalf, whose core activities may be in direct conflict with our goals of providing medical services and training or which may limit our ability to provide these services.

The use of Mercytree International Foundation logo by a corporate partner must be restricted to approved appropriate use only, and care should be taken to ensure that the foundation’s name and reputation are not harmed or diluted by excessive or inappropriate promotion.

Mercytree International Foundation reserves the right to refuse donations from any corporate or entity.
