When will I receive a receipt for my donation?
- One-time donations (by mail or check):
You will receive an official printed acknowledgment and tax receipt within 3–4 weeks of the date your gift is processed. - Online donations:
You will receive an immediate email confirmation followed by an official printed tax receipt. - Monthly Field Partner donors:
You will automatically receive a consolidated annual tax receipt summarizing all contributions at the end of each fiscal year (typically late January–early February). - Stock donations:
Brokerage transfers do not include donor contact information.

When will the recipient of my tribute gift be notified?

How do I update my monthly Field Partner payment details?

- A brief signed authorization requesting the change

Where does MercyTree’s funding come from?
MercyTree is funded primarily through:
- Individual donors
- Foundations
- Corporate partners
To maintain neutrality, independence, and rapid deployment capability:
- Government funding is limited to less than 30% of total support.
- We follow a strict Corporate Gift Acceptance Policy to ensure donations do not conflict with our humanitarian mission.
What percentage of my donation goes to programs?
MercyTree allocates more than 90% of all donated funds directly to program activities, medical care, training, and community support.
We consistently meet or exceed standards set by nonprofit watchdog organizations.

Can I donate supplies or equipment?
Yes. We accept in-kind contributions such as:

- Medical transport vans, ambulances, mobile clinic buses

Does MercyTree accept employer matching gifts?

What is the Multiyear Initiative?
The Multiyear Initiative invites donors to commit $5,000+ per year for 3–5 years.
Long-term commitments enable MercyTree to plan strategically and respond rapidly to emergencies.

- Restricted Gifts
Can I earmark my donation for a specific project?
MercyTree welcomes designated gifts; however, we strongly encourage unrestricted support, which allows us to direct resources to the areas of greatest need.
If you choose to make a restricted gift:

Unrestricted funding is critical to sustaining our humanitarian mission.
- Fraud Prevention & Employment Verification
Someone online says they work for MercyTree and asked me for money. Can you verify employment?
For security reasons, MercyTree does not publicly confirm staff identities or employment details.
If anyone contacts you requesting money or claiming to represent MercyTree:
