Malaria continues to be one of the leading causes of illness and death in Sub-Saharan Africa, especially among children under five and pregnant women. At MercyTree Foundation, we are committed to saving lives by promoting awareness, prevention, and early treatment of malaria within vulnerable communities.
Program Components
- Zero Malaria Starts with Me
We provide long-lasting insecticide-treated mosquito nets and support community-wide indoor residual spraying. By protecting homes and families, we aim to drastically reduce malaria transmission. - Test Before You Treat
Our mobile clinics and community health workers carry out malaria testing campaigns to ensure proper diagnosis before treatment. This helps prevent drug resistance, ensures correct medication use, and saves lives. - Pregnancy & Malaria Awareness
Pregnant women are especially vulnerable to malaria, which can cause severe complications for both mother and child. Through antenatal clinics, educational outreach, and preventive distribution of nets and medication, we work to keep mothers and babies safe.
Our Goal
MercyTree Foundation’s Malaria Prevention Program is dedicated to building healthier communities by reducing malaria cases, protecting the most vulnerable, and raising awareness that zero malaria is possible.
